〔記者劉曉欣／彰化報導〕今天是農曆3月20日，也就是註生娘娘的生日，彰化鹿港地藏王廟一早就湧入人潮來參拜，想求小孩的、想求姻緣或是求小孩「好育飼」的，統統都來為註生娘娘祝壽，同時祈求願望成真！
來自彰化秀水的林阿嬤說，她從60年前生下第一個小孩，就來跟地藏王廟的註生娘娘求孩子平安長大，並求能夠繼續順利生產，果然都如願，如今她當上阿嬤，眼看孫子適婚年齡還未婚，特地來向註生娘娘祈願，能讓孫子早日完婚生子，讓她可以升格當阿祖。
鹿港地藏王廟總幹事林慧娟表示，註生娘娘是保護孕婦與胎兒健康平安的養育之神，因此許多想求子女的夫妻都會來拜拜，想求生女就帶紅花，想求生子就帶白花；如果要求姻緣，就帶鮮花糖果，來求姻緣紅線。
林慧娟說，也有小孩「歹育飼」的話，就會來當註生娘娘的「契子」，以紅布立下契書、放在註生娘娘面前，「契子」把1雙弓鞋帶回去，可以戴在身上或是放在床前，等滿16歲成年禮之後，再來還1雙弓鞋。
鹿港地藏王廟主委許森樹指出，該廟所配祀的註生娘娘為軟身，每年註生娘娘生日的前後1個月都會請到中殿視事，因為以前中殿有香爐，「粉面」的神尊都變成「香煙面」，因為許多民眾求子如願後，都會帶著麻酒雞酒來還願，常常都沾註生娘娘的光采，吃到雞酒與油飯。
